The word
Sikaran was derived from the word ‘sikad’, meaning kick. Sikaran originated from what are now know as Baras and Morong towns in the Rizal province. In Morong, the ancients called the sport Paninggara (accent on the last syllable), an old Tagalog term, which also means kick fighting. Global Sikaran Federation
