Teresa (Rizal) Opposition to Landfill Dropped

(SAN FRANCISCO August 6, 2008) --

Teresa town officials quietly dropped their opposition to the new Morong Sanitary Landfill in Sitio Malalim. This was after the meeting between Morong and Teresa officials. According to RSG sources, Teresa will be compensated amounting to millions of pesos in return for the ceasing of its opposition. The actions by Teresa town will eventually left a few residence of Barangay San Guillermo as the only resister of the new landfill.

Morong keen on tie up with MMDA
Morong town council recently approved Resolution 2008-09, giving Mayor Buenaventura authority to directly negotiate with MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando for a contract that would generate up to P900 million a year to Morong. In return, up to 4,000 cubic meter of garbage will be shipped to the new landfill.

I've the hard copy of this publication and I bought it last April 2008. The title speaks for itsel and indeed the local goverment of Morong is marketing the "hi-tech" dumpsite. Plus, who were the resource persons they've interviewed. It should have been the primary sponsor of this resolution who should have put his insights on this matter. Kon. Dennis Sta. Catalina was the sponsor of the said resolution and not Kon. Dickson San Juan. And it only showed that Kon. San Juan spoke on behalf of the municipal council. Hmmm..I don't know. I'm just curious. I'll scan the front page of the publication, it was disgusting to read.

I do not have much time to check my mail so i am way behind on issues. I just happened to scan today and this mail caught my attention. Sani Lontok mentioned "the protection of Morong from wicked people". Well, if this topic has not been discussed before may I tell you about a fraternity of thugs from the squatter area in Tigbe. They call themselves TBS or True Brown Style, aka Tigbe, Bombongan, San Guillermo whose members come from these places. They terrorize these areas and whoever in town crosses their path.. One member is in jail for killing somebody with a "pana". They walk around with boloes and sumpak allegedly para mag "ronda".

They have written graffitis all over town with their TBS. The members have been identified, and most have cases for drugs. They come from the notorious squatters areas in metro manila and are wanted there and are allegedly hiding out here. What's with Tigbe? Recently somebody was shot dead near the de Leons. Then, it has been observed that those akyat-bahay incidents where some balikbayans were hogtied, the perpetrators had been seen fleeing the scenes of the crime toward tigbe. Last week a guy from J. Pascual was stabbed in Tigbe. The Baranggay captain is aware of all these incidents. Her solution was to give them a volleyball to keep them occupied and entertained. A request for an outpost for Baranggay Tanod in the area was granted but only for a short while then inexplicably pulled out. Rumor has it that the Baranggay officials got their winning votes from the area. I heard that the balikbayans are going to request for a "zona" of the area. Sana naman ituloy nila kasi walang political will sa local level. For Morong.....Dr. T

Ang bandang Metal Five ay binubuo ng mga kabataan mula sa Sitios Tabing-ilog, Pantok-Labak, San Guillermo. Ang mga batang ito ay mga nagsasaka sa palayan at kung minsan ay nabibilar ng palay para makaipon ng pera upang makapaghanda sa kanilang mga ensayo at upang makagawa ng demo.. Ang kanilang komposisyon "Sana" ay na i record kamakailan sa Morong, Rizal.

Suportahan po natin ang Indi Bands of San Guillermo na pinamumunuan ni Alex Tunque. Malaki po ang naitutulong ng grupong ito na mailagay ang ating kabataan sa tamang landas. Ang kanila pong mga kagamitan sa paglikha kanta ay hiram lamang.
