M E N S A H E

Sa pagkakataon ng taunang pagdiriwang na ating mahal na patron si San Isidro Labrador na rito sa ating Parokya ng Simbahan sa San Guillermo ay ipinagdiriwang tuwing ika-15 ng Mayo, ang aking mainit na pagbati sa inyong lahat mga kababayan na nariyan sa Estados Unidos ng America at lalo na sa mga taga-Los Angeles, California kung saan idaraos ang kapiyestahan nitong taong 2008.

Nawa'y ang patuloy na paglago ng ating pananampalataya at pagbigay saksi nito sa lahat lalo nitong ating panahon ay sa Espiritung Banal na pumukaw kay San Isidro sa pag-alay sa kanyang sarili sa Diyos and siya rin nawang mag-akay sa atin.

Nawa'y matagumpay ay magbunga ng lalo pang pagkakaisa, pakipag-ugnayan at pakipagtulungan ng lahat. Sa lahat ng bumubuo ng San Guillermo Association USA, Southern California Chapter ang aking pagtaas ng kamay na nagbabasbas kasama ang mga kapatir nating narine sa buong lawak ng Parokya lalo na ang Parish Pastoral Council, ang WESTYVFla parish ministries.

Ang aking mapagdalanging pasasalamat sa inyong patuloy na pagtulong at suporta sa ating Parokya. Kasama ang aking kapatid sa aking familia religiosa na siyang aking katuwang na pari, p. Honesto Eboña, csjbp;

Back to normal in Rodriguez town?

RSG: A few weeks ago, Rodriguez mayor was suspended for sixty days by Rizal governor Ynarez for according to the gov "illegally raising levies" for town's landfills.

An article from Philippine Daily Inquirer published 3/27/08, declared the situation in Rodriguez as normal after suspended mayor barricaded himself inside the town hall and acting mayor conduct local government business a block away from SB hall.

MANILA, Philippines – Acting Mayor Jonas Cruz of Rodriguez town in Rizal province Wednesday declared that things were back to normal at the town hall, two days after suspended Mayor Pedro Cuerpo and his supporters forced their way inside the building.

After two days of conducting the town’s business in his house, Cruz returned to his office just a few meters away from the Mayor’s Office where Cuerpo and his supporters are still holed up...... Cuerpo – who was initially placed by the Rizal provincial council under a 60-day suspension that was stretched to six months for illegally raising the levies on the town’s landfills – declared that he would remain at the town hall until the Office of the President resolves his appeal on his suspension.:::

LET ME COMMENT ON THE ISSUES RAISED BY A GENTLEMAN FROM SAN GUILLERMO WHICH GAVE HIS BASELESS OPINION AND MEASURED MY CAPABILITY AND POSITION ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES THAT WAS POSTED AND EMAILED AROUND THE GLOBE.

I CAN PERSONALLY SAY THAT HE IS WRONG IN HIS ALLEDGED ACCUSSATIONS AGAINST ME AND THE OTHER COUNCILOR FROM OUR BARANGAY WHICH I OPPOSED IN A STRONG TERMS AND I WANT TO EXPLAIN MY SIDE ABOUT HIS OPINION.

SINO BA ANG INIHALAL NG BAYAN NA MAGPAPAHAMAK SA KANYANG MAMAMAYAN? WAG NAMAN SANANG TAWARAN ANG AMING KAKAYAHAN TUNGKOL SA AMING MAKAKAYANANG GAWIN UPANG MAKATULONG SA PROBLEMANG NARARANASAN NG ATING SINISINTANG BAYAN.

Voluntary crucifixion is the most extreme display of religious devotion in the Philippines, a largely Catholic country in Southeast Asia.

Sa totoo po lamang, ay kailangan pa bang pahirapan ang sarili para malapit sa diyos. Hindi ba sobra na ito? Yung isang ipinako ay pang 16 anim na beses na. Hindi na yata parte ito ng relihiyong Katoliko.

Introducing: Indie Bands of San Guillermo

Their aim is to unite and promote talented musicians in the community and give support to their needs. The newly formed Independent Bands of San Guillermo have great events and initiatives planned for member groups. Recently a couple of their bands participated in the Battle of the Bands in Teresa National High. They're also planning to showcase more talents in the upcoming San Guillermo Barrio Fiesta this May. Some IBSG members will also endeavor to record original materials.

To all our Kababayans especially those who will visit our beloved hometown Morong during the Lenten Season. Go and visit Taghangin and see for yourself that our open dumpsite which was supposed to be closed is rehabilitated and now open not only for the Morong garbage but Metro Manila garbage. Inihahalo ang mga basura sa mga lupa na galing sa May-ugat/Malalim. Dahil dito, foggy ang Morong dahil sa alikabok at mabaho pa.

The Morong Landfill (Taghangin and May-ugat/Malalim) is now owned and operated by a private firm called IPM Group-Basic Environmental Systems and Technologies Inc. (BEST). Morong Local Government Unit has no more public dumpsite (landfill). Ibenenta na ni Mayor Buenaventura at ng kanyang Sangguniang Bayan ang Morong sa Metro Manila para pagtapunan ng kanilang basura. Madaling salita - BASURAHAN NA NG METRO MANILA ANG MORONG!! Hindi na center of education ang Morong.

Pagbibilar sa Kalsada, bakit Ipinagbawal

Magandang araw po. Gusto ko lang malaman ang panig ng mga kababayan natin sa San Guilmo kung may batas ba na nagbabawal na magbilar ng palay sa daan. Nangyari sa amin ito na pinatawag kami ng Baranggay dahil may reklamo sa amin at sa iba pa naming kapitbahay dahil sa pagbibilar ng palay samantalang isa ito sa ikinabubuhay sa ating Baranggay. Bakit kailangang bigyan ng atensyon ni kapitan Eliseo San Jose ito samantalang isa sya sa mga nagpapabilad ng palay sa kalsada. Dahil ba ang nagrereklamo ay isa sa mga tagapayo nya. Hingin ko lang po ang payo nyo. Kawawa naman ang mga kababayan natin at wala naman atang resolusyon sa pagbabawal na ito. Kung bawal man ay dapat mag provide ang Baranngay ng lugar na pwedeng gawing bilaran. Payo lang po.

GARBAGE IN.. GARBAGE STAYS

Mga kababayan, we can not understand this situation. On June 2, 2006, there was a closure order of our Taghangin Open Dump Site and formal closure on January 28, 2008. But Mayor Jojo Buenaventura admitted and declared that our Taghangin Open Dump Site is being rehabilitated by a private firm called IPM Group owned by Isabelita Mercado. The truth of the matter, our Taghangin Dump Site is being used to dump not only Morong Garbage but also Metro Manila Garbage of which the IMP Group is the private contractor. IPM collect fees from the cities of Metro Manila for its service to dump their garbage at Taghangin Dump Site. We though that only Morong garbage will be dumped to our Sanitary Landfill. Niloloko na naman tayo ni Mayor Jojo Buenaventura.

Our Sangguniang Bayan has given authority to Mayor Jojo Buenaventura the authority to enter a MOA with MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando to use Morong Sanitary Landfill including the Rehabilitated Taghangin Dumpsite to Metro Manila garbage.

Papayag po ba tayo na ang Morong ang maging basurahan ng Metro Manila? Kung hindi kayo pumapayag - let's protest and manifest our objection by way of all available means of protests - letters, email and actions.

Gising Morong!!! Niloko na naman tayo ni Mayor Jojo Buenaventura... bago mag eleksyon noong 2007 nangako ang ating Mayor sa Plaza na hindi nya papayagang ituloy ang SAVE MORE Supermarket alang alang sa ating mga maliliit na kababayang nag hahanap buhay sa palengke at sa ating bayan. Naniwala ang marami at pinanghawakan natin ang pangakong ito. Ngunit pagkahalal nya ay ipinag patuloy ang construction nito at ngayon nga ay bukas na.

Ngayon niloloko na naman tayo.... REHABILITATION AND CLOSURE yan ang naka bandera at nakalagay sa ating dumpsite sa Taghangin. Napaka gandang basahin pero itoy isang kasinungalingan... dalawin ninyo at pasyalan ang lugar na ito punong puno ng basura sa dulo at ang ibang bahagi ay itinatago sa bunton ng lupa. May mga track ng basura na madalas mag yaot ito sa lugar, ito ay galing sa Metro Manila. Opo ang BASURA ng Metro Manila at ang ibang bayan sa Rizal tulad ng Teresa, Cardona at Baras.

Hwag po tayong pumayag... tigilan na ng Mayor at ng Sangguniang Bayan ang pag babuy at pag lapas tangan sa ating kalikasan. Sana namay naisaalang alang ng mga nanunungkulan ang kalinisan ng ating kapaligiran. Talaga po bang wala ng iniisip ang mga nag lilingkod sa ating bayan kundi pansariling kapakanan lamang. Paano po ang kalusugan ng mamamayan natin, ang mag aaral sa TCMC na rumaraan sa Taghangin. Ang basurahan po bang iyan ay may sapat na kanal na kung saan ang mga katas ng basura ay hindi didiretso sa ating mga palayan at ilog na kung saaan ang ating mga magsasaka at mangingisda ay umaasa ng ikinabubuhay. Pinag aralan po ba iyan at may tamang permit sa ibat -ibang sangay ng ating Pamahalaan Nasyonal.

Para po sa kaalaman ninyong lahat kalakip po dito ang Resolution No. 9 Series of 2008 na pinapayagan ng SB si Mayor Jojo Buenaventura na pumasok sa kasunduan kay MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando na gamitin ang Morong Engineered Sanitary Landfill Facility na nasa Mag-ugat at Taghangin Maybangkal para pagtapunan ng basura ng Metro Manila.

GUMISING TAYO AT MAGSAMASAMA... tutulan natin ang proyektong ito. Huwag na tayong mag paloko at pagamit sa mga taong dapat sana ay nangunguna sa proteksyan ng mamayan at bayan. Hwag nating payagang sirain ng mga nanunungkulan ang natitirang yaman ng BAYANG MORONG....

Morong gets best blessings in 40 years

When Republic Act 9003 or Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 was implemented, the pressure to create a viable, systematic and sustainable solution to the country’s waste disposal problem began to mount. Problem is, only a handful dared or even cared to venture out into this noble undertaking of caring for the environment. This is where the fourth-class municipality of Morong, Rizal, comes in.

For 40 years since 1968, this small but robust often ignored area in Rizal became the object of ridicule particularly because of the stench and smoke, not to mention the lethal gases that continuously emanate from its open dump. Morong desperately needed an environmental face lift fast if ever it still had a glimmer of hope to become a progressive town. Its municipal officials went through so many channels just to find whatever help they could get to acquire a decent waste management facility. But to no avail. It was another exercise in futility and Morong was clearly right smack in the middle behind the wheel. Hope was hastily and sadly fading. Now this is where the IPM Group member Basic Environmental Systems and Technologies Inc. (BEST) enters the picture. After only four meetings between BEST led by IPM Group’s benevolent and steadfast.

IPM Group of Companies Inc. president Isabelita Paredes Mercado and the municipal government administration led by Mayor Joseph “Jojo” Buenaventura through the intervention Rizal Gov. Casimiro Ynares III, the issuance for an authority to close was granted on June 2, 2006. And on the Jan. 28, 2008, the formal closure of the Morong dump finally took place.

“BEST is truly heaven sent. And without the kindness of IPM Group President Isabelita Paredes Mercado, Morong would never have the opportunity to prosper. You are a blessing for the people of Morong” Buenaventura said.

Shortly thereafter on the same day, with the recent issuance of an environmental compliance certificate (ECC), Morong lay witness to another momentous occasion with the historical groundbreaking ceremony involving the immediate construction of an Engineered Sanitary Landfill Facility (MESLF) in compliance with the requirements of RA 9003. With the kindness and generosity of the IPM Group as carried out by its member company BEST, Morong is now poised to become a future powerhouse progressive municipality.

Today, Morong has now become a third-class municipality.
